The death has occurred of Shane Cushman, a 16-year-old from Windsor, Ontario, who tragically lost his life following a stabbing incident.
The incident took place on April 26, 2026, shortly before 6 p.m., in the 300 block of Tecumseh Road East. Police responded to reports of a person with a weapon and found Shane suffering from critical injuries.
Officers immediately began life-saving efforts before he was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The sudden and violent loss has left family, friends, classmates, and the wider Windsor community in deep shock and mourning.
Authorities launched an investigation and arrested an 18-year-old suspect at a residence on Goyeau Street. The suspect now faces charges including first-degree murder, uttering threats, and wearing a face covering during the commission of an offence.
